Granting Process
To receive a grant from The West:

  1. An organization must be exempt under Section 501(C) (3) of the United States Internal Revenue Service code.

  2. The organization must serve women and children in Tucson.

  3. Grants are given for specific, direct services provided by the organization, not for general operating expenses.

  4. The organization must be nominated by a member in good standing of The West, Inc.

  5. Each year organizations are selected to receive grants by members of The West’s Granting Committee.

There are many worthy organizations in Tucson and there is a tremendous need for services. Since 1981 the West has given to 40 different agencies in Tucson.
