OPEN CLASSROOM TIME You are welcome to stitch in the classroom on Fridays from 10 am until 5 pm, and use our air conditioning to keep cool while stitching. A teacher will not be present to answer your questions, but you can visit with other stitchers in cool comfort. |

NEW NEEDLEPOINT CLASS Cassie Prescott, owner of Sundance Studios, will be teaching a class February 18, 2008. The stitched model will be on display in January and sign-ups for the class will begin Jan. 2nd. Cost TBD - please check back 2 January, 2008. |

NEEDLEWORK CLASSES The West offers a variety of needlework classes. Classes are held in the mornings, afternoons and some evenings. Classes cost $10 per session and advance registration is required. Please stop by The West or call 520-299-1044 to register. If a class is full, you may place your name on a waiting list and you will be added to the class in the event of a cancellation. Occasionally, classes must be cancelled. Please call the day before the class to ensure it is being held and that you are on the class list. This includes those who may be on the waiting list. Don’t forget to bring your scissors and stitching supplies to all classes. Note: supplies needed for any class may be purchased prior to or at the first class session. Private lessons may be arranged upon request at a rate of $29.00 dollars per hour or $50.00 for a three-hour session. |

Beginning Needlepoint
– Learn 18 stitches including basketweave and continental to produce a project that may be framed or made into a pillow.Open Hardanger
– Learn to stitch a project on even-weave fabric. You may use this technique to decorate doilies, collars, skirts, aprons, table linens, pillows, etc.Open Needlepoint
– Bring your canvas and we will help you with threads and stitches. This is a great way to experiment with your next "masterpiece" by getting help from experienced teachers and having fun time with others in the class.
